The fired New York Knicks head coach writes in a first-person piece in Sports Illustrated’s the Cauldron that his altercation with Matt Barnes over an affair with Barnes’ estranged wife had nothing to do with his dismissal in January.
Knicks President Phil Jackson had said the incident was an embarrassment but wasn’t a consideration in the firing.
In a video released Thursday, Meyer calls Kasich a friend and says he’s “a true supporter” of what Kasich stands for.
The remarks come days after Republican front runner Donald Trump praised Meyer at a political rally in Columbus.
