Kings beat Capitals in OT
Jeff Carter scored with 2:10 left in overtime after the Kings blew a three-goal lead in the third period before pulling out a 4-3 victory over Washington in Los Angeles on Wednesday night.
The Kings reclaimed the Pacific Division lead from Anaheim with their seventh victory in nine games.
After both teams had golden overtime chances, Carter scored on an exceptional cross-ice pass from Milan Lucic to end a thriller between two Stanley Cup contenders.

Radim Vrbata and Luca Sbisa also scored for the Canucks.
Semyon Varlamov stopped 37 shots, Nathan MacKinnon got his 21st goal and Colorado beat visiting Anaheim to end the Ducks’ 14-game point streak.
Andreas Martinsen and Shawn Matthias also scored to help the Avalanche earn a critical win in a heated race with Minnesota for the final Western Conference wild-card spot.
Kevin Shattenkirk scored the decisive goal in the sixth round of the shootout to lift host St. Louis to its fourth straight win.
Maple Leafs 4, Islanders 3:
William Nylander scored the tying goal late in regulation and Nikita Soshnikov had the only goal of the shootout to lift host Toronto.
