Five local dance makers share space for new program
Contemporary dance fans can get a first look at works from five promising local dance makers in “Shared Space,” a choreographic showcase that runs this weekend at Dance Mission Theater.
Created in 2007 by Todd Eckert and Nol Simonse, “Shared Space” encourages an edge of creative risk-taking, and there can be payoffs for the audience.
To round out the program, Project B. performs Tanya Bello’s “A Dream Deferred,” an investigation of the desperation evoked by social and cultural displacement.
