UTEP President Diana Natalicio hospitalized after collapse
EL PASO, Texas (AP) — Diana Natalicio, president of the University of Texas at El Paso, has been hospitalized after collapsing on the campus.
Vice President Richard Adauto says the 76-year-old administrator is in stable condition at an unspecified hospital, where she was being held in stable condition for observation Thursday night.
Adauto says Natalicio (na-ta-LEE'-see-yoh) was walking on University Avenue to the Student Union when she collapsed about 1:30 p.m. Thursday.
No other information was released.
Natalicio has been president of the El Paso university since 1988 after joning the faculty in 1971.
