Mavericks could be required to include women surfers next year
On Friday, the infamous Mavericks surfing competition will be held off the shore of Pillar Point, just north of Half Moon Bay. Twenty-four of the best big wave surfers in the world are flying in right now, with just three days notice, to tackle the massive, powerful waves. Not one of those surfers is a woman.
