Mob swipes $10,000 in luxury goods from S.F. Union Square store
San Francisco police are searching for a group of people who walked into a fancy department store near Union Square Tuesday evening and walked off with more than $10,000 in merchandise, authorities said. Around 6:30 p.m., several men and women entered the Ferragamo store on Post Street near Grant Street and began gathering up items, said Sgt. Michael Andraychak, a police spokesman. Ferragamo specializes in high-end, luxury goods, with many sunglasses costing hundreds of dollars and shoes priced at more than $1,000.
