Finocchio's nightclub brochure reveals era when SF was more easily shocked

For over six decades, starting in the 1930's, Finocchio's attracted tourists and locals, alike, to San Francisco's North Beach neighborhood. It showcased female impersonators. While some of the cast members and visitors may have been gay, it was not considered to be a gay club.
