Will Smith Weighed In On The Academy Awards' Diversity Problem

All 20 of this year's major acting nominations for the 2016 Academy Awards were white people. Will Smith appeared on Good Morning America today and has become the latest in a growing list of actors who are dissatisfied with the Academy.

Smith gave his thoughts on why diversity is important stating, "Diversity is the American superpower."

Will also laid to rest the rumors that the only reason his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, called for others to boycott the Oscars was because he was snubbed for his role in Concussion.
He also added that he was out of the country when Jada released her viral video calling out the Academy and had no idea that she'd done it until he returned.
