Three hikers rescued a dog they found trapped in an abandoned mine shaft near Fairplay, Colorado. Portia Scovern shared this video of the rescue and follow-up care on October 18. The dog was underweight and dehydrated when she was found. Scovern wrote her boyfriend had been hiking a week before the rescue and heard something from the cave, but continued on his hike.
