Three die in pile-up on NH-8 near Kosamba

Three persons travelling to Ahmedabad in a private car from Surat were crushed to death following a freak pile-up of 4-5 vehicles on national highway (NH) 8 near Kosamba, some 40 km from the city. Identity of the deceased is not yet known.

Doctors in Canada will probably be able to prescribe heroin soon

Canada's federal health agency intends to open up legal access to heroin as a treatment for chronic opioid abuse, a move that is already being heralded by doctors who have fought to make the drug a legitimate option.

The announcement comes as the country struggles with a rise in illicit drug overdoses and an especially dramatic spike in those involving fentanyl, which is roughly 100 times more potent than heroin.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Hillary Clinton narrowly defeated Bernie Sanders in Kentucky's Democratic presidential primary, the head of the state's election board said on Tuesday night.

The tight contest was yet another demonstration of how divided Democrats are in the drawn-out national race for the party's nomination.
