Fog will follow the rain: Meteorologists update forecast for Astana and Almaty

Tengrinews.kz — Almaty will first see rain followed by heavy fog. In Astana precipitation is expected on Friday, though daytime temperatures will climb to +11°C. Kazhydromet meteorologists have shared what residents of the two major cities can expect in the coming days.

Astana temperatures to rise to +11°C

In the capital, November 4 and 5 are expected to be dry. Variable cloudiness will persist during these days. On Wednesday, nighttime temperatures will range from −2 to −4°C, with daytime highs of +5 to +7°C. Thursday night will see temperatures drop to −3 to −5°C, but the air will warm up to +7 to +9°C during the day.

On Friday, On November 6, light rain is expected in the afternoon. Nighttime temperatures will hold between 0 and +2°C, rising to +9 to +11°C during the day. Wind speeds will reach 9–14 meters per second.

Almaty expects rain followed by fog

On Wednesday, November 4, Almaty will see variable cloudiness with no precipitation. Daytime temperatures will reach +16 to +18°C, while nighttime lows will be around +4 to +6°C.

November 5, weather conditions will change: intermittent rain is expected during the day. Thermometers will show +12 to +14°C, with nighttime temperatures between +3 and +5°C. Wind gusts will reach up to 13 meters per second.

On Friday, On November 6, the rain will stop. Fog is expected at times overnight, with temperatures dropping to +1 to +3°C. During the day, the air will warm to +14 to +16°C.

Rain and cooler temperatures headed for Kazakhstan
