Investments, air service, and geological exploration: Kazakhstan and Oman signed agreements
Tengrinews.kz — Following their talks, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of Oman signed a Joint Statement outlining the future trajectory of bilateral relations, citing Akorda.
In the presence of the two heads of state, the following intergovernmental and interagency documents were exchanged:

1. Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Sultanate of Oman on the promotion and reciprocal protection of investments;
2. Air Services Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Sultanate of Oman;

3. Agreement on the establishment of a joint investment structure (fund) between Samruk-Kazyna JSC and the Oman Investment Authority;
4. Agreement on the main terms of the Blue City Rixos joint project between Samruk-Kazyna JSC and the Oman Investment Authority;
5. Memorandum of Understanding and cooperation in the financial sector between the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Finance of the Sultanate of Oman;

6. Memorandum of Understanding between the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs and the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry on the establishment of the Kazakhstan-Oman Business Council;
7. Strategic Cooperation Agreement in the field of geological exploration between NC KazMunayGas JSC and OQ Exploration & Production;
8. Agreement between the Eurasian Development Bank and the Government of the Sultanate of Oman on the terms of the Eurasian Development Bank's presence in the Sultanate of Oman.

Tokayev announces new agreements with Oman
On October 6, an official welcoming ceremony for the Sultan of Oman was held in Astana. Following the ceremony, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Haitham bin Tarik Al Said held talks in both restricted and expanded formats.
During the negotiations, Sultan Haitham bin Tarik Al Said thanked Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for the warm welcome and successful talks, noting the steady development of comprehensive Kazakh-Omani cooperation.
"Oman attaches great importance to its engagement with Kazakhstan. We welcome the momentum that bilateral cooperation has gained in recent years. High-level exchange visits and the work of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission have created a solid foundation that will allow us to reach a more ambitious level of cooperation," the Sultan of Oman said.
According to Haitham bin Tarik Al Said, Oman sees significant opportunities for growth, investment, and cooperation with Kazakhstan across various sectors, including energy and mining, agriculture and food security, transport and logistics, financial services, tourism, technology, and artificial intelligence.
