Tokayev welcomes Sultan of Oman at Palace of Independence
During the ceremony, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Haitham bin Tariq Al Said introduced the members of their official delegations to each other.
The commander of the honor guard company delivered a ceremonial report, while the Presidential Orchestra performed the national anthems of Kazakhstan and Oman.
The heads of state then began talks.

As a reminder, on October 5, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev welcomed the Sultan of Oman at Astana airport upon his arrival in Kazakhstan for a state visit. An honor guard and the Presidential Orchestra were assembled on the tarmac in honor of the distinguished guest.

The leaders of the two countries held a brief conversation in the airport’s arrivals hall. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev welcomed the Sultan’s visit, emphasizing its historic significance for the development of bilateral relations.
“Your country enjoys well-deserved respect not only in its region but far beyond it, including in Kazakhstan. I am convinced that the partnership between our countries has significant potential that has yet to be fully unlocked and effectively realized,” President Tokayev said the day before.
Haitham bin Tariq Al Said thanked Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for the warm welcome and expressed confidence that the upcoming talks would be substantive and successful.
The Sultan of Oman’s visit includes high-level talks, the signing of a number of important documents, as well as the participation of the two heads of state in the Kazakhstan-Oman Business Forum.
