Tokayev held a conversation with the President of the Landtag of Bavaria Ilse Aigner

Tengrinews.kz — During his visit to Germany, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with Ilse Aigner, President of the Landtag of Bavaria, citing Akorda.
During the meeting, the Head of State noted the successful and productive nature of the talks held the previous day in Berlin with Germany's top leadership.
The President of Kazakhstan praised Bavaria's contribution to strengthening multifaceted Kazakh-German relations.

"Bavaria plays an extremely important role in promoting trade and developing ties with Kazakhstan. For us, Germany is a special partner. We are convinced that Germany is a strategic partner for Kazakhstan in Europe and beyond, as your influence, your role, and your achievements extend far beyond Europe. You are the third largest economy in the world," Tokayev said.


The discussion touched upon issues of inter-parliamentary cooperation, as well as prospects for strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties.
Ilse Aigner thanked Tokayev for taking the time to visit the Landtag of Bavaria, particularly noting the extensive program of his visit. According to the President of the Landtag, Bavaria is closely exploring opportunities to strengthen trade, economic, transport, and investment contacts with Kazakhstan.

Following the meeting, both parties confirmed their mutual interest in expanding the substantive dialogue between Kazakhstan and Bavaria.
