Olzhas Bektenov retains post as Prime Minister
Tengrinews.kz — Kurultai deputies approved the appointment of Olzhas Bektenov as Prime Minister of Kazakhstan. His candidacy was supported by 137 deputies, while seven abstained.
A total of 144 deputies took part in the vote. Bektenov’s candidacy received the support of 137 deputies, with seven abstentions. No deputies voted against.
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev submitted Olzhas Bektenov’s candidacy to the Kurultai for consideration. Following the vote, the deputies gave their consent to his appointment as Prime Minister.
The Head of State must now sign the corresponding decree.
