Tokayev approves strategy for digitalization and AI implementation
Tengrinews.kz — President Tokayev has approved a strategy for digitalization and the implementation of AI, citing Akorda.
The Head of State signed a decree “On the approval of the National Strategy for large-scale digitalization and the comprehensive implementation of artificial intelligence technologies, Digital Qazaqstan, until 2029.”
The text of the decree will be published in the press.
Tokayev names one of the key factors in Kazakhstan's modernization
Earlier, in April of this year, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev spoke at the award ceremony for the winners of the Alem.ai Battle and AI Governance Cup competitions. At the time, the President noted that comprehensive digitalization and the introduction of artificial intelligence are now among the key factors in Kazakhstan’s all-round modernization. During his speech, he also announced that the country would approve the Digital Qazaqstan strategy, which would define the vector of the country’s digital development.
“As you know, this year has been declared the Year of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence in Kazakhstan. Therefore, a lot of work lies ahead. We need to unite and work selflessly to achieve the goals set,” the Head of State said earlier.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev believes that the world today is changing at an unprecedented pace. In his view, amid global turbulence, it is critically important to strengthen the country’s competitiveness and ensure its growth and prosperity in order not to be left on the sidelines of progress.
