A Church leader has expressed concern that the divorce bill advocated by the Gabriela party-list “will weaken the institution of marriage in the country.” “The teachings of the Catholic Church do not favor divorce as we adhere to the belief that ‘what God has put together let no man put asunder.’ Divorce spawns a host of problems especially for children.
