Powerful torrent of water rushes through streets: video from Turkestan Region

Tengrinews.kz - A video showing a powerful flow of water in the Turkestan Region has appeared online. The footage spread after heavy rains on October 1.
The video posted on social media shows a strong stream of water flowing through a populated area. The footage was reportedly filmed in the Kazygurt District.

The Turkestan Region Emergency Department said that on October 1, heavy rainfall caused rainwater to accumulate in several areas of the Kazygurt District.
In particular, in the village of Akbastau in the Sharbulak rural district, water accumulated on a street and in the basement of a residential building. Emergency Department teams and local authorities were sent to the scene. Rescuers pumped out around 200 cubic meters of water, and the work has been completed.
No flooding of residential homes was recorded, the regional Emergency Department noted.
In addition, rainwater runoff was observed flowing down from mountainous areas. In particular, water flowed near the villages of Kosagash in the Altyntobe rural district, Kyzylsengir in the Kyzylkiya rural district, and Turbat in the Turbat rural district.
The Emergency Department said there is no threat of residential flooding in these settlements.
