Tokayev outlined budget spending priorities for the next three years
President Tokayev presided over a meeting at the Akorda presidential palace focused on national economic development and budget planning.
The President was briefed on the current economic situation, the socio-economic development forecast for 2027–2029, and the draft parameters for the national budget for the same period.
During the discussions, Tokayev emphasized the importance of meeting economic growth targets for the current year and ensuring balanced national and local budgets.
"The Head of State identified the accelerated construction of infrastructure and social facilities—including hospitals, children's rehabilitation centers, and cultural and sports venues—as a key priority for the 2027–2029 budget," the Akorda press service reported.

The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, Head of the Presidential Administration Roman Sklyar, National Bank Governor Timur Suleimenov, Chairman of the Supreme Audit Chamber Alikhan Smailov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumangarin, Assistant to the President for Economic Affairs Nurlan Baibazarov, and Finance Minister Madi Takiyev.
