Painkiller registration revoked in Kazakhstan
Tengrinews.kz — Kazakhstan has revoked the marketing authorizations for Tramadol Lannacher tablets in 100 mg and 150 mg dosages. This measure does not involve a recall of all tramadol-based medications; the decision applies exclusively to products from a single manufacturer.
Reason for the revocation
The marketing authorizations for Tramadol Lannacher tablets in 100 mg and 150 mg dosages were revoked by an order from the Ministry of Health's Committee for Medical and Pharmaceutical Control.
Note:Tramadol Lannacher is a prescription opioid analgesic used for the management of moderate to severe pain.
The department emphasized:
"The revocation of the marketing authorizations for these medicinal products is not related to any findings of non-compliance regarding quality, efficacy, or safety."
The agency reported that the move was initiated by the registration holder, Bausch Health LLC (Russia), as part of a corporate business decision.
Registered tramadol products in Kazakhstan
According to Committee data as of August 13, 2026, Kazakhstan's state register of medicines includes seven registered tramadol-based products in both tablet and injectable forms.
These are produced by three manufacturers:
Protech Biopharma Pvt. Ltd. (India),
G.L. Pharma GmbH (Austria),and Chimpharm JSC (Kazakhstan).
These medications remain approved for patient use in Kazakhstan.
