Tengrinews.kz — In the summer heat, the temperature inside a car cabin rises much faster than many realize. Within just a few minutes, it can climb 10–15 degrees higher than the outside temperature, and after about an hour, it can exceed +50 degrees Celsius.
An overheated interior poses the greatest danger to children. Due to the specifics of their thermoregulation, their bodies overheat much faster than those of adults. As noted by "KazAutoZhol," even a brief stay in a scorching car can cause heatstroke, loss of consciousness, and other dangerous consequences.
Many drivers believe that nothing will happen to a child left in a car for just a few minutes. However, experts warn: children should never be left alone in a vehicle, even for a short period of time.
The danger lies not only in high temperatures. A child might accidentally lock the doors, close the windows, or become frightened and unable to exit the cabin on their own. Furthermore, even a car left in the shade or with windows slightly cracked continues to heat up rapidly, and the internal temperature remains life-threatening.
Similar rules should also be observed when transporting pets. Leaving pets unattended in a vehicle, even for a few minutes, is extremely dangerous.
Animals overheat significantly faster than humans. For example, during heatstroke, dogs experience rapid breathing, a sharp rise in body temperature, and critical strain on the cardiovascular system. Without access to fresh air and water, their condition can deteriorate rapidly and lead to the animal's death.
This is precisely why experts recommend never leaving children or pets alone in a closed car, even if it seems you will only be away for a few minutes.
