Tokayev invited Lukashenko to Astana
Tengrinews.kz — President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a phone conversation with Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko, citing Akorda.
During the conversation, the presidents noted with satisfaction the steady development of Kazakh-Belarusian relations, which continue to show positive momentum across all areas of cooperation.
The heads of state discussed further steps to expand interaction in the trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres.
The interlocutors also exchanged views on regional and international agenda issues and reviewed the schedule of upcoming joint events.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev invited Alexander Lukashenko to take part in the next meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council and the Eurasian Economic Forum. These events will take place in Astana at the end of May.
As previously reported, on April 14 Tokayev received Belarusian Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov. At that time, the Belarusian foreign minister thanked the Head of State for the reception and conveyed warm greetings from Alexander Lukashenko.
