New direct flight to South Korea is being launched from Kazakhstan
Tengrinews.kz — A new direct flight from Almaty to Busan, South Korea, will be launched on May 1.
According to the Almaty mayor’s office, the flights will be operated by foreign airline EasternJet twice a week.
City officials expect the new route to connect South Korea’s largest port city with Almaty, strengthen tourism and business ties between the two countries, and make travel more convenient and accessible.
Notably, in 2025, more than 23,000 tourists from South Korea visited Almaty, which is 15.3 percent more than a year earlier.
