The Madhya Pradesh High Court has recently deemed the 2019 OBC reservation law unconstitutional, reinstating the reservation rate to 14 percent from the striking 27 percent. The court determined there was insufficient justification for exceeding the 50 percent limit on reservations. Consequently, state recruitment agencies are instructed to expedite the hiring for unfilled positions within three months.
