Iran, the United States, and Israel have reached a deal for a two-week ceasefire. Tehran says it will negotiate with the U.S. in Islamabad starting Friday. Trump initially said Iran proposed a “workable” 10-point plan" but later dismissed it as fraudulent without elaborating. Earlier Tuesday, Trump had threatened devastating strikes on Iran, warning that "A whole civilization will die tonight" if a deal wasn't made to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. The comments were widely condemned. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office has expressed support for the ceasefire but said it won't stop fighting with Hezbollah in Lebanon.
