A Georgia prosecutor has dropped a vehicular homicide charge against a teen who police say was driving the truck that struck and killed a beloved high school teacher when a prank turned deadly, his lawyer says. The Hall County Sheriff’s Office says the teacher, Jason Hughes, died after being taken to a hospital late on March 6. Police arrested 18-year-old Jayden Ryan Wallace on a felony count. Authorities also charged four other teens with misdemeanors. Lawyer Graham McKinnon says prosecutors dropped the case against Wallace on Friday. Hughes’ family says he knew the students and urged officials to drop all charges.
