Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney says he supports the strikes on Iran “with some regret” as they represent an extreme example of a rupturing world order. Carney spoke Wednesday at the Lowy Institute, a Sydney-based policy think tank. He is on the Australian leg of a three-nation visit that began in India and will end in Japan on Friday. He said Canada supported efforts to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon, but whether the U.S. and Israeli airstrikes on Iran broke international law was “a judgment for others to make."
