Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to land in Israel for a two-day trip expected to focus on strengthening security, economic and technological cooperation between the two countries. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said earlier this week the two leaders are “personal friends” who have forged a strong alliance. Modi's visit is scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday. Netanyahu says Modi will address Israel's parliament and will visit Yad Vashem, Israel’s Holocaust memorial institution. Modi became India's first prime minister to visit Israel in 2017. Nine years later, he's making his second trip.
