NATIONAL SUMMARY
Rain will begin to exit the Northeast today, but not before
bringing downpours that may lead to urban flooding and slow
travel in New England. A clipper storm will bring snow to
much of Montana and Wyoming, while snow in Colorado should
taper off before the afternoon. Winds will kick up along the
Front Range of the Rockies. Snow is forecast for much of
South Dakota and Nebraska, with rain changing to snow in the
afternoon in northern Nebraska and northwestern Iowa. Some
rain can make its way through Missouri and the balance of
Iowa into the late afternoon. Western Oregon and Washington
can expect a few showers, mainly earlier in the day. Most
areas from Southern California to Florida will be dry and
warm, while the Midwest and mid-Atlantic are expected to be
mild for late December.
