Spellow Community Hub and Library has reopened to the public, four months after it was torched in racist riots.
At a special event this morning, poet Levi Tafari read out a poem that he had composed for the reopening.
Children’s Laureate Frank Cottrell-Boyce also spoke, as did Council Leader, Cllr Liam Robinson, and Liverpool City Region Mayor Steve Rotheram.
Arnot Street Primary School sang to the assembled guests.
Spellow Community Hub and Library welcomed its first customers at 12.30pm, and over the next few days is holding festive events for the local community. Find out more: https://liverpool.gov.uk/libraries/library-events/
