A woman has pleaded guilty to the killing of high-profile marketing consultant and social justice advocate Michael Latt. Prosecutors say 36-year-old Jameelah Michl entered the plea Monday in a Los Angeles court to first-degree murder and burglary. She could get life in prison when she's sentenced next month. Prosecutors say she had been stalking a director who was friends with Latt when she knocked on his door, forced her way in and shot him on November 27. He worked with directors including Ava DuVernay and Ryan Coogler, and was mourned across Hollywood after the killing.
