A BEAUTY fan created her own serum that grew back her eyebrows and eyelashes with minimal effort.
It had to do with the natural ingredients in the skincare remedy that revitalized her overplucked brows.

She shared it in a comment under another Redditor’s request for DIY lash serum recipes.
“It growed back my eyebrows after I plucked the hell out of them, and filled some sparce spaces in my eyelashes,” she explained.
She created a “simple oleo gel,” which is a semi-solid gel that has a similar consistency to a cream but is mostly free of water.
Hers contained about 50% aloe Vera gel and 50% castor oil.
She then added a few active ingredients such as panthenol, silk proteins, hyaluronic acid, and glycerin.
“Did your active ingredients separate from the oil base?” a Redditor asked.
“I first added the hydrosoluble ingredients to the aloe vera gel, mixed well, and added the oil at the very end,” Eylibe replied.
She also added a few drops of vitamin E.
“They did not separate, and when I use it, I make sure to stir the solution a little bit before applying,” she explained.
All of these ingredients are very common in most skincare products.
Eylibe liked her serum a lot and said it didn’t irritate her face.
“Apart from its effectiveness, I find it to be very gentle on the eyes,” she said.
Previously, she used castor oil alone as a natural hair growth option, but the side effects were uncomfortable.
“It made my eyes very watery, painful, and swollen in the morning,” she said.
Other readers had similar experiences and were looking forward to trying the natural recipe.
One person had the same reaction to the castor oil.
“I am delighted by your homemade serum. One of my favorite home recipes so far,” they wrote.
“I surely could not replace that all-natural product with ones from the world market.”
The Redditor revealed that their preferred growth product is the Cherish Lash Seru because it is “the least harmful.”
In the end, they admitted that although they like the product, they also make DIY beauty items.
