AN iPhone owner has hailed a magic trio of battery saving features that they claim makes their device “last two days”.
Their comments aim to dispel concerns that Apple’s battery saving features are a placebo, and that they actually do work.
“I have seen that a lot of people and Apple experts/ YouTubers say that the power saving tactics/ tricks like dark mode, Low Power Mode on all the time and reduce white point make only a minute difference so the compromise of turning the features of iPhone on is not worth it,” an iPhone 14 Pro Max owner wrote on Reddit.
“But I tested it and it makes a huge difference.”
Dark mode makes all iPhone pages that usually appear white or light grey, show up in black instead.
Apple says its “perfect for low-light environments” – particularly if you’re trying to wind down at night.
But it can also greatly lower your iPhones power consumption.
Low Power Mode, which iPhone owners are automatically prompted to switch on once the device’s battery hits 20%, is another great way to make your iPhone last longer.
You can even customise Low Power Mode to automatically turn on at a higher battery percentage.
Reducing the white point essentially dims your iPhones screen light.
You can slide it to where you want, but Reddit’s savvy iPhone owner recommended setting it to about 30%.
The more you want to save your battery, the higher you will want to put the slider.
After putting the three features to the test, the iPhone owner discovered they ended up using half the battery they used without this settings tweak.
With only dark mode switched on – and a 96 per cent battery health – the device allegedly went sank from 100 to 0 in just 10 hours.
Whereas when dark mode, power saving mode and the reduce white point setting was switch on, only half the battery was used across a 7.5 hour timeframe.
This is the only way I can make my phone last two days.

“This is the only way I can make my phone last two days,” the Reddit user added.
“I’ve seen people with make their phone last two days without using all these features – I don’t know how.
“But this is pretty useful if I’m outside somewhere without a charger for two days.”
One onlooker called the tip “incredible,” adding that it “greatly improved my battery, especially draining overnight”.
