Today will be another warm and breezy day with highs in the mid-80s and southeasterly winds in the 12-24 mph range. Wind gusts could be in the 30-35 mph range later this afternoon. This is due to low pressure to the north, which will bring storms to the area tomorrow morning.
Most storms today will be across northeastern Texas/northwestern Louisiana, but these storms will be pushing to the southeast overnight tonight, arriving tomorrow morning between 4-8 am. This complex of storms could produce very heavy rainfall (2-2.5 inches per hour) and gusty winds. A low-end threat of severe weather is in place, mainly for the threat of damaging wind gusts of 60 mph. Unfortunately, these storms will be coming in during morning commute time, so drive safely.
We get a break for tomorrow afternoon and tomorrow evening, but another round of storms is possible on Tuesday.
Isolated rain remains in the forecast through the rest of the week with warm temperatures, as highs reach the mid-80s each afternoon.
