NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) – New York City’s beloved free summer concert series is back for 2024, and it'll feature 85 free performances in parks across all five boroughs from May to October.
The SummerStage series will kick off on June 1 in Central Park, with one ticketed show in May. Then, free shows will hit parks across all five boroughs practically daily through October, featuring a huge range of music and performers big and small – from jazz to rock to Latin and hip-hop, organizers said.
“Our lineup will shine a bright spotlight on some of music’s most iconic female artists who have made an impact in their genres, from rock and New Orleans soul scions to Dominican merengue and Brazilian samba legends,” said Erika Elliott, Executive Artistic Director of SummerStage.
Last year, the series brought performances by Noname, Regina Spektor, Vance Joy and more.
Some highlights for the 2024 lineup include:
James Arthur
Andra Day
Kim Gordon
