Monday, April 8 is the day of the highly anticipated North American total solar eclipse. It's also the deadline to register to vote in Indiana's upcoming primary election. The Indiana Election Division says many county offices will be closed on the deadline in anticipation of the celestial event that will shadow much of the state. Indiana law says if a county office is closed on the voter registration deadline, residents have until noon the following day to submit an application in person. The deadline to register online remains unchanged from 11:59 p.m. Monday.
