A man was detained after two stabbings at a Longview, Wash. home, authorities said.
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- A man was detained after two stabbings at a Longview, Wash. home, authorities said.
According to Longview police, on Tuesday, officers responded to a home on 23rd Avenue where they found Branson Luck, 22, out front with blood on his hands and pants.
Luck was quickly detained police said, and officers then investigated inside the home where they found two people who had been stabbed, a 31-year-old woman and her 14-year-old son.
Upon investigation, officers said they learned from witnesses and the victims that Luck had entered the home and stabbed the woman and when her son attempted to intervene he was also stabbed.
Authorities said that they also learned that Luck was identified as the suspect in an attempted armed robbery that had happened just 10 minutes before the stabbing
No one was injured at the robbery, but authorities said that the victims reported Luck threatening them with a knife.
The incident remains under investigation.
