Grant Scott said his side have prepared well for the Scottish Cup contest against Rangers on Sunday.
After losing against the same opposition last week, the gaffer said his side have regrouped and re-focused well, with the desire to make amends.
“They’ve been pretty consistent with the way they’ve been playing; you’d probably expect them to make some changes – but we’ll do the same ourselves and try to catch them off guard.
“Most moments in the game were quite close. I said on the match day that they executed the key moments at the right moments, and we didn’t manage to do that. We’re looking to reverse that.”
Shannon McGregor and Michaela McAlonie both hit the crossbar in that match, and Scott said the team will need to be a little more ruthless if they wish to progress this time round.
“They’re both good opportunities, well manufactured and it’s the final execution that’s let us down. That’s something we’re working on as a group. All we can do is try harder next time.”
Scott also issued an injury update on Eilidh Adams, who was substituted off mid-way through the second half last weekend,
With the double header against Rangers, Grant said that it would be exciting to predict how this cup tie would turn out.
“We’ve got to think about the game going through ninety-minutes – potentially one-twenty – who knows. It’s different, you’re either in the competition afterwards or not. Our mindset will be different going into it.
“It’s always difficult to see if the same opponent will be too different in the game, but we have to do better, we know that. They’ll be very strong again and have the same desire as us to get through to the next round.”
