Alasdair Gold has revealed via Football.London that Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo continues to remain high on Tottenham’s wishlist as the North London club attempt to bolster their backline.
Over the last few days, multiple reports have indicated that Wolfsburg’s Micky Van de Ven and Bayer Leverkusen’s Edmond Tapsoba have emerged as Tottenham’s top centre-back targets (Fabrizio Romano).
Gold has now stated that while the Dutchman and the Burkina Faso star are indeed high on Spurs’ list, so is Adarabioyo, with the Lilywhites said to be monitoring the Fulham star’s situation.
The journalist reveals that Tottenham watched the 25-year-old closely for much of last season and are now seriously weighing up a move for him.
Gold asserts that the Cottagers star ‘ticks plenty of boxes’ for Tottenham since he is homegrown, and the fact that he has only 12 months left on his contract at the West London club also makes him an appealing option.
However, he explains that Spurs could face plenty of competition for Adarabioyo, with the defender also on the radars of Inter Milan and Monaco, as well as a few other clubs in England, Italy and Germany.

With Joe Rodon, Japhet Tanganga and Davinson Sanchez expected to leave, Tottenham appear to be in the market for two central defenders this summer.
It seems as if Spurs could sign two of Tapsoba, Van de Ven and Adarabioyo, in which case, the club would perhaps decide against pursuing a permanent deal for Lenglet.
