With all of the screeching from Republicans about widespread voter fraud that never took place, we sure do seem to find a lot of miscreants on the right that have committed voter fraud.
For example, we have former Republican county elections commissioner Jason Schofield in upstate New York, who pleaded guilty Wednesday to 12 counts of voter fraud charges after applying for absentee ballots in the names of other registered voters.
Good old Jason, 43, recently resigned from the Rensselaer County Board of Elections.
Schofield admitted to unlawful possession and use of a means of identification on five occasions in May, September, and October 2021.
NBC News reports:
Schofield is scheduled to be sentenced on May 12. He faces up to five years in prison, a fine of up to $250,000, and supervised released of up to three years for each count.
Jason was forced to resign.
