Ryan Dorsey Remembers Naya Rivera On Her 36th Birthday - Read His Touching Tribute
Ryan Dorsey paid tribute to Naya Rivera on what would have been the late star’s 36th birthday.
The 39-year-old star was once married to the Glee actress, and they shared their son Josey, 7. Naya tragically passed away at the age of 33 in 2020 after she drowned in a terrible accident while boating with her son.
Ryan remembered his ex-wife and the mother to his child in a touching tribute that he shared on social media.

Taking to Instagram, he shared three photos of Naya and Josey together. He started his message by writing out 36 in Roman numerals and bracketing the age with cake emojis.
“A little easier with each little bit of time that passes by to look at pictures…but I still don’t have the answers to the questions to the why’s our sweet boy asks from time to time. I never will,” he wrote.
He continued, noting that he and his son were “doing the best we can.”
“Fly high,” he wrote to Naya.
Ryan also included a note to anyone who was reading the note: “If you’re reading this no matter what you’re going through, take a moment of gratitude that you’re still here on this ride. I know some days are harder than others to get up, but keep we just gotta keep pushing onward.”
Naya‘s untimely death is expected to be discussed in the upcoming Glee docuseries The Price of Glee, which premieres later this month. Multiple franchise stars have spoken out against the project since it was announced.
Heather Morris, who played Naya‘s wife Brittany S. Pierce on Glee, opened up about her relationship with the co-star during an appearance on Kevin McHale and Jenna Ushkowitz‘s And That’s What You REALLY Missed podcast.
