BRITAIN’S Got Talent boss Simon Cowell didn’t pay himself a penny last year – but he won’t be hovering round the reduced section of his supermarket just yet.
Figures for the music mogul’s Syco Holdings Ltd show the value of his company went up slightly to £83million.
But profit was down by £29.6million, and 19 staff members lost their jobs.
Despite the amount in the bank, Simon didn’t give himself anything from the business.
The previous year, a dividend of £45.35million was paid out of the accounts.
The BGT judge downsized his Syco company after two decades.
It was claimed the stress of running a global empire affected his health.
Stepping back hasn’t hurt his wealth too much, though.

He transformed into a punk like Sex Pistols rockers Sid Vicious and Johnny Rotten.
Jonathan said: “I went back to the Seventies and went full punk. But what was so weird was, you realised a lot of kids in the audience have never even seen punk. They don’t know what it is.
“They think I just had a really, really bad hair day.”
