Deion Sanders addresses comments critiquing his departure from Jackson State, talks HBCUs joining Power 5 conferences and sheds light on HBCUs playing against Power 5 schools for financial purposes. Deion shares: “If you go into a Power 5 Conference like the SEC all the other sports have to go to. There’s also a criteria that schools have to pass to get into these conferences and I don’t know if that was going to be applicable to what we’re trying to accomplish.”
