The biggest Pro Street payout ever to be awarded went down last weekend at Cecil Towner’s HorsePower Hustle grudge event at Gainesville Raceway. $26,000.00 was paid out to the class with $20,000.00 going to the winner.
I want to thank every single person that helped put the race on. Brandi Neithamer, Ehren Litten, the HTP crew, and every sponsor that stepped up with cash and merchandise. And of course, all the racers that came to race and support the event. Congratulations to Mr. Rodney Williford for taking home the first Wallace Motorsports 20k Pro Street Shootout trophy and the 20K big bag. It was a weekend of great racing and hanging out with friends. Let’s see if we can make it happen again next year!

Fifteen riders made the trip to Gainesville to take advantage of the beautiful Florida weather. The Horsepower Hustely typically only features clock off, eight-mile grudge racing. But for their final event of the season, they openly welcomed the Pro Street bikes to their event and had Mass Traction on site to give the quickest and fastest streetbikes in the world a weekend of well-prepped quarter-mile racing surface. With the clock on for this one event, fans in the stand witnessed 230 mph passes in only 6.34 seconds.
The first round of qualifying featured what would be the quickest run of the weekend, with Rodney Williford running a 6.349 at 228.04 mph to take the #1 qualifying, and setting a new personal best. That round was also affected with a devasting crash by Justin Shakir. Shakir broke a rod that lead to oil spilling onto the rear tire, causing a crash at 227 mph as he went through the finish line. He came off the bike before it hit the wall three times before catching on fire. Luckily for Shakir, he walked away uninjured. On that run he ran a 6.536, which would have put him in the fifth qualifying position for the round.
After three rounds of qualifying, Williford would lead the class with a 6.349, while Trevor Altman rounded out the class with a 7.510 for the fourteenth spot. Scroll down past elimination results to watch all three rounds of qualifying.

In round two, Greg Wallace ran a new personal best by resetting his record from a 6.425 to a stout 6.394 as he defeated Ricky Wood.
When it came down to the finals,event organizer Greg Wallace sat in the left lane across from XDA’s champion Rodney Williford. When the bulbs dropped, both competitors were going for the win with cut-throat reactions times, Williford with a .032 and Wallace a .039. Wallace was ahead until the 330′ when Williford started pulling away from him to take the stripe first with a 6.444 at 255.63 to Wallace’s 6.511 at 215.63.

Friday night, the class gathered over at the Wallace Motorsports compound to celebrate a day of qualifying and to win prizes donated by our fabulous sponsors.
