Morning commute traffic from Marin County to San Francisco was backed up after a rock slide closed southbound Highway 101 near Rodeo Drive in Sausalito early Monday.
The slide was reported to the California Highway Patrol just before 4:30 a.m. after several cars hit the rocks.
At least six vehicles were damaged, with one sustaining “major damage,” after striking the rocks, but there were no injuries reported, according to the California Highway Patrol.
All lanes were closed during the cleanup, which was completed before 7:10 a.m. The backup dissipated before 7:45 a.m.
