The surprising move comes as the FireWolves try to increase their visibility and popularity in their second year after relocating from Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. They finished 10th in the NLL in average attendance a season ago at 5,523.
"Manias helped to successfully launch the team in Albany, establish the FireWolves Foundation, develop strong partnerships, and has set a high bar for our in-game experiences," FireWolves owner and CEO Oliver Marti said in a news release. "“Over the last eighteen months, George’s energy has helped anchor our position in Albany, on the lacrosse floor and in our community. We sincerely thank him for his time with the Pack and have no doubt George will continue to be successful in his future endeavors.”
