Hello Friends,
Another grey day from the look of it. Wind was westerly 5-7 kts and swell out at sea was ESE at 13 seconds but with heights of only a metre. There were a fair few in the water at the Dee Why end of the beach waiting around for a shot at a wave. I didn’t see anyone catch a wave, so looking at the numbers, I’d expect the occasional chest high wave on the bigger sets. From the look of the swell models, we can expect the swell to drop into the unsurfable range by tomorrow – plus we’re expecting increasing showers. Beyond that it’s not currently looking great for Friday when there’ll be more rain, but maybe we’ll have a little something for the early on Saturday. We’ll see what the Goat thinks tomorrow…
Go well and stay safe everyone!
A high over the Tasman Sea will direct north to northeasterly flow over the next few days, apart from a southerly change associated with a weak trough that will move northwards along the south coast today. Northeasterly winds will tend fresh to strong Friday into Saturday.
