PENTICTON, B.C. – The BC Hockey League (BCHL) announced the Three Stars of the Week on Tuesday, with Penticton Vees forward Josh Nadeau named the First Star, for the week ending October 2nd.
Nadeau, 19, earned top honours after he registered six points in the Vees two wins last week against Salmon Arm and West Kelowna. On Friday, September 30th, Nadeau had a goal and two helpers in Penticton’s 6-1 victory over the Silverbacks. He was named the game’s first star. He followed that up with another first star performance Saturday, October 1st, against West Kelowna. Nadeau had three assists in the Vees 10-3 thumping of the Warriors.
Nadeau, who is committed to the University of Maine, leads the BCHL in points with 10 (3G, 7A) in four games.
Forwards Brett Moravec and Aydar Suniev received Honourable Mentions. Moravec had five points (2G, 3A) in two games and Suniev had four points (3G, 1A).
The Vees are back in action this weekend with a pair of home games against Merritt Friday and Salmon Arm Saturday. Single game tickets for adults are $17, seniors are $15.
