A MIDDLE-aged beauty pro has discovered the perfect at-home concoction for a simple and quick gray hair transition.
TikTok user @Meaghanonline, who describes herself as a middle-age muse, took to the social media platform last month to share how she went from black to gray hair in just one weekend.

In a follow-up video, the beauty expert explains: “I completed my gray hair transition in just one weekend. My gray transition actually started in November.
“That’s when I ditched the dye right before my daughter’s wedding. Between then and now I have just been letting the grays grow out and embracing everything that came with going gray.”
Meaghan revealed she began her gray hair journey with her hairdresser, and told the stylist her “big plans” – prompting them to “pull out all the black coloring” in her hair to leave the gray hair growing.
She said her hairdresser pulled the bleach through all the hair that was colored black and then toned it to “pull the colors altogether,” leaving her ends golden.
The next step was putting a deep bond restoring treatment in her hair to prepare for the upcoming steps Meaghan would be doing on her own, she explained to her TikTok fans.
Meaghan, who tells her viewers she is “not a professional,” continued by saying she performed the next steps herself.
While showing examples of the products she put in her hair, she said: “So it began with Wella’s T14 toner and Wella’s 050 violet toner … and special mix that brings the gray to life.”
She ultimately mixed the T14 toner with a 20-volume toner, as directed on the box.
Meaghan adds: “And then I added three capfuls of the 050, which is the violet undertone.
“The T14 takes orange, brassy, reddish colors into a beautiful ash-blonde and then the 050 additive is just a violet undertone that brings out the silvers and the gray.”
She then talked about how initially pulled the toners through the light, golden color that was left over in the brown for about 20 minutes.
For an additional 10 minutes, she put the mixture all throughout her hair to blend it even more.
When she ended up with a warm brown tone on the bottom of her hair strands, she decided to use something she calls a “quick fix.”
“I went and got the lime crime unicorn hair, full coverage in the color charcoal,” she said.

Meaghan put the product anywhere she saw warm undertones, resulting in “everything being pulled together into this great dynamic gray.”
She admitted the unicorn hair product is a temporary solution to fix the warm undertones and will see a hairstylist in eight weeks the “pull out the color left in the hair and tone it again to match.”
