Paramount has set the Scream sequel for March 31, 2023.
The release date announcement follows the success of the Scream 5 (just called Scream), which brought in over $140 million at the global box office. The entire creative team is set to return, including directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, with James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick co-writing the screenplay.
“I got the script yesterday. And I haven’t read it yet. I just got it, and I’m so used to getting, you know, Shining Vale scripts, which are 26 pages, and I’m, ‘Whoah, I’ve got to read a script.’ I’m excited to read it,” Courteney Cox recently said of the sequel, confirming that she will be returning.
“I don’t know if I’m supposed to say anything. Let me tell you the killer!”
Neve Campbell also says she’s been approached.
